La Maison de l’Image welcomed this year, during the weekend of Parcours d’Artistes, Rosemary Laneau and Toinette Chaudron, photographic artists adept of pinhole photography.
Toinette offered to initiate the members through 3-hour workshops.
One of the objectives of La Maison de l’Image being the inter-generational and the sharing of knowledge, we organized a pinhole workshop for children of Jettois framed by the educators of the Project Interquartier. Toinette and Rosemary explained the basics of photography, then they all went to the neighborhood to experiment with 3-4 minute exposures and stillness. Then it was back to LaMI’s darkroom, and what a wonder to see the magic of coloring to negative.
On Sunday April 28th, Rosemary and Toinette proposed to the Belgian pinhole lovers to pass by the Maison de l’Image in order to participate to the World Day. After printing the negative in our darkroom, Rosemary and Toinette scanned it and sent it to the Mondiale website. You can find all the works on http://pinholeday.org, on the group “Time of exposure at LaMI”.
