The non-profit organization La Maison de l’Image proposes to set up a COVID-proof photo exhibition in the King Baudouin Park, from August 15th to September 16th 2021.
The population needs more than ever artistic emulation.
These tree-lined and frequented spaces are the ideal place to honor certain trades that have continued to work during the pandemic to keep our living space pleasant, so that all those confined can “breathe” peacefully. These daily jobs, often discreet and often forgotten in the highlighting of the essentials, are nevertheless indispensable.
The administration could not have offered a harmonious public space without their presence. Whether it is the workers of public cleanliness, the gardeners, the peacekeepers, the multipurpose team or the janitors of the public buildings, all of them have had at heart to continue to serve the population.
We have therefore entitled this exhibition “Our everyday heroes – Onze hedendagse helden”. It will be shown during the walk through phases 1 and 2 of the King Baudouin Park.
This walk is therefore an opportunity to highlight them by photographing them in the context of their work, to thank them for their efforts for the benefit of all.
This exhibition could be realized thanks to the support of the College of the Mayor and Aldermen of Jette, the services of the municipal administration, and Brussels-Environment.
We wish you a pleasant journey …
